Snowy Love from Heidelberg #1

Heidelberg is like a little snow village come to life in December… Perhaps the most quaint, cozy and quite comforting place you possibly imagine to while away the winter chill.

London Town

We spent a chilly Thanksgiving weekend in London…having some pints, tasting around Borough Market, picking up the Evening Standard, enjoying the company of great friends, sipping some amazing coffee at Monmouth, finishing four bottles and a cheese plate at Gordon’s Wine Bar, walking along the chilly Thames, enjoying a Hookah, visiting the Tate Modern, taking an ill-fated black cab, ordering fancy cocktails at the fancy Oxo tower, and having a proper English breakfast.

Here are just a few pics of the trip.

Playing Dress Up

Right before Halloween, we had a dress up party at the Borreson house, starring….

Princess Emeline Neela Louise Borreson.

She was accompanied by various members of her court…

Who she ordered around endlessly.

But she is adored by all her subjects…

And is admired throughout many lands. For her commanding presence and sense of mystery.

She endears herself to even the strangest of folk…

Anoints them with fancy titles…

And calls them all her Prince and Princess friends.

#437: A Hot Drink for a Cold Night

Kassie’s impromptu Hot Toddy…

Take freshly squeezed Lemon Juice, some delicious, stealthily procured Brandy, a bit of Hot Water, Brown Sugar to taste, perhaps Cretan Honey and a dash of fresh-brewed Cinnamon Spice Yogi Tea.

Combine.

Stir a little, sip a little, add a little of whatever is needed, then pour into a large mug and drink.

Throw in a star anise for fun.

Best enjoyed with a warm blanket and a purring cat.
