there are all kinds of weird and fantastic new foodstuffs i’ve come upon, here in deutschland. and it is fantastic.
probably my favorite so far is President brand Le Motte butter. when i first happened upon this strange plastic-domed oddity in the refrigerated section, i thought it was some newfangled cheese. ok. strange packaging, yes, but this is a foreign country. many things appear strange to the unaccustomed eye. mine. and afterall, President are the folks who brought us the nice, reliable French Brie cheese, that is a decent buy when you’re not frolicking amongst the petite groceries in rural france.
